Composition Review: Three Rules

Before

After
This cropped portion depicts my rule, framing. This picture is framed in such a way that the foreground and the background are both visible.

It also depicts the rule of leaving space. The negative space in the picture enhances the contours of the sculpted horse, seen in the top left corner.

And lastly, it depicts the rule of lines. We can see that the unfocused red object is defined by four distinct lines that catch our attention and indeed define the object.

This picture  depicts all three of my rules: Rule of Lines and Shadow, Rule of Framing, and the Rule of Leaving space.

Where I found my rules:

1. Rule of Lines and Shadow

2. Rule of Framing

3. Rule of Leaving Space

Depth Of Field rule

To take this picture according to the depth of field rule, I zeroed in on focusing on the dye, and not the surrounding background of the dye itself. The location of this picture, is the A- Wing courtyard, outside of the A-wing Cafeteria. The light there was particularly good.
